The Shale Gas Outrage Rally in pictures

I thought you would enjoy a few images of yesterday’s Shale Gas Outrage Rally that took place in Philadelphia.

The featured picture for this article was taken by JJ Tiziou and all the pictures below were taken by Rob Stuart.

<< This is Jonathan Fox the Director of the documentary “Gasland” speaking to the crowd of demonstrators.

<< Here is Iris Bloom in action. Iris is one of the main organizers of  the Shale Gas Outrage

from the grass root organization ”Protecting Our Waters“.

<< Here is a view of the 1,500 people who showed up for the rally.

<< This was my favorite sign.

Actually I think Mr. Corbett should to be impeached first.

Why?

The job of a Governor is to ensure the health and welfare of the citizens of his or her state.
If there is a shade of doubt as to the impact of Marcellus Shale drilling on the health of the residents of Pennsylvania, Mr. Corbett’s job is to make sure our health is protected and that is exactly what he is not doing.

<< The rally attracted demonstrators from all age groups

<< Some use the occasion to spell out what kind of renewable Energy we should be more intensively

developing now.

<< Here is another version of the same request.

<< Some rightly wonder why the chemical components of
the liquids used in hydraulic fracturing are kept secret?

<< In a short sentence, this demonstrator stated why there is such   resistance to Fracking:

“Unsafe Water is a Crime”

<< I think this banner summarizes all the negative attributes that come with Fracking:

Unnatural, Unethical, Unwanted, Unsafe.
